These are tailored to YOU. I'm not interested in offering a cookie cutter experience. After all, no person is the same and no pregnancy is the same. I want to support you in the ways that you want and need to be supported.
We can talk birth plan, comfort measures, partner support, risk and benefits of common interventions, postpartum planning, preparing your body for labor, when to call me, etc.
But more importantly, I want to get to know YOU. What are your dreams when it comes to your birth? What about your fears? How can I best support you and your family during this season?
Does being informed make you feel confident? I've got you. Need some encouragement? You've come to the right place. I'll bring you some food when you're just not feelin' it. I'll go to an appointment with you if that's what you need.
This won't be all that business-like; that's just not me. I want to build a genuine relationship with you and your partner so that you guys feel comfortable enough to have me in the room during one of the most special days of your lives.

When baby day comes, I'll join you whenever you're ready. I'll help you decide when to head to your birth location if you're not already there.
When I arrive, I'll make sure the environment is conducive to the kind of birth experience you want to have and what your needs are at the time. I'll see to it that you feel safe and comfortable and look for ways to optimize the good labor hormones you have flowing.
Throughout your labor, I can recommend different movements and positions or help with comfort measures. I'll make sure all your basic needs are tended to and I can even snap a few photos along the way.
I'll be a support to your parter as well, helping them help you (that's a huge one!!) and giving them a breather if they need one.
I'll provide information when you need it, help you ask the right questions, and be an advocate for your birth plan. I can help remind you of all the things you already know and provide emotional support along the way. I'll encourage you to connect with your body and your baby and I'll have ALL the faith in you.
Most importantly, I'll be there with you and I'll be completely FOR YOU.

I'll come to your home to visit you and baby, probably bearing goodies ;)
We'll go over your birth and process it together. We can take time to talk breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum care for you, etc. I can help with tasks around the house and give you referrals and resources as needed.
I want to make sure that any questions or concerns you have are addressed, and that you are settled and feel supported as you recover, bond, and adjust.
