Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth
MTACB is an evidence-based labor support program conducted by a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) with speciality training in the Sound Birthing method.
The continuous support of the MT-BC combined with carefully selected music programs has been shown to significantly decrease anxiety and discomfort responses as well as the need for analgesic medications during birth.
This method has also been found to contribute to overall positive feelings about the birth.

MORE ABOUT IT
Labor & Birth
I will provide continuous support throughout your entire labor and delivery, selecting music based on factors such as labor stage and progress, emotional state, respiration rate, and movement/positioning.
Music in the birth space can be used to induce a calm, relaxing state, facilitate movement and positioning, support breathing, enhance comfort, influence hormone production, build energy, mask sounds of medical equipment, change or create a mood, pass the time, help with emotional expression, evoke imagery, and promote bonding with both baby and partner.
Postpartum
Music is used in the immediate postpartum period to support bonding between parents and baby and to encourage much needed-rest for the family after the first breastfeeding experience.
I will also visit you once you are home and settled.
